The session reaffirmed the notion that genuine productivity involves working smarter, with purpose and values at its centre, rather than merely doing more. The quest for greatness at Pointe Larue Secondary goes beyond the classroom. As a teacher, I believe in influencing young minds.
The goal of the event was to equip, us, educators with useful tactics to increase productivity and uphold moral standards in our day-to-day interactions. Ms. Francis, who is renowned for her energetic character, stressed the value of cooperation, teamwork, and work ethics in creating a productive workplace.
Work Ethics and Productivity: The Cornerstones of Successful Instruction
The discussion emphasised the value of good work ethics in the workplace, in addition to productivity. Ms Maryvonne Francis underlined that moral teaching methods helped students learn in a supportive environment by fostering respect and trust. To resolve moral conundrums and strengthen our capacity to make moral choices in practical situations, we took the session with an ethical compass to reflect on the concepts shared.
What's the rationale?
A Newfound Sense of Mission
As an educator, personally, I felt a new sense of purpose in my alignment as a teacher by looking from a different paradigm shift. Teaching is not just a job for me, but mainly a vocation. The learning session reaffirmed the fundamental principles of commitment, honesty, character, and communication, and Ms Maryvonne always emphasised the word "CONTRIBUTION!" The dedication of Pointe Larue Secondary to professional development guarantees that we, teachers, stay inspired, capable, and morally sound, all of which eventually helps the students we teach.
Rumi once said,
"A teacher is never a giver of truth- he is a guide, a pointer to the truth that each student must find for himself."
