Beyond Academics: Spiritual Renewal and Pointe Larue's Post-Assessment Bonding with Teachers and Students

Education at Pointe Larue Secondary School is also about developing character, promoting togetherness, and nourishing the spirit—it is not simply about grades and tests.

Students and teachers convened at St. John Bosco Church for a significant event focused on spiritual refreshment and community connection. The mass served more than just as a study break; it was a chance to reaffirm, reconnect, and reflect on the principles that guide holistic education.

A Moment to Think and Renew

The mass at St. John Bosco Church turned out to be a calm ambience, which was projected on how the message of God may have impacted each of the students and the teachers' lives. The mass started with a silent reflection moment. The tone for the day was established by self-reflection practice.

Religion's Place in Education

At Pointe Larue Secondary, students' values and attitudes are greatly influenced by their faith. The mass reaffirmed the notion that education is about developing integrity, knowledge, and compassion rather than just memorising facts. Students considered the value of humility, kindness, and tenacity through prayers and scripture readings.

Have you ever thought of using Play to deepen teacher-student relationships?

At Pointe Larue Secondary, post-assessment days are about building relationships rather than just wrapping up. Using games like dominoes and volleyball, students and teachers united in a lively demonstration of friendly rivalry and teamwork.

These activities gave everyone a chance to laugh, bond, and share experiences outside of the classroom, providing a welcome respite from the demanding nature of academics. With teachers and students establishing mixed teams, planning strategies, and supporting one another, volleyball promoted teamwork.

Domino games, on the other hand, promoted deliberate choices and amicable conversation, highlighting the value of both patience and expertise. By fostering an atmosphere where students viewed teachers (Ms Anna Rose, together with Ms Prisca) as friends, these playtime encounters changed relationships.

What's the rationale?

Students at Pointe Larue Secondary were taught to develop not just intellectually but also emotionally and spiritually because of the school's dedication to holistic education.

The school creates an atmosphere where students feel encouraged to realise their full potential and are supported by incorporating spirituality and introspection into the educational process.
