Pointe Larue Secondary Students Shine Bright at Francophonie Event

In a resounding celebration of Francophonie, the students of Pointe Larue Secondary School marked their undeniable presence at this year’s event. With unwavering dedication and passion, these young individuals not only participated but excelled, securing prestigious wins across several categories and bringing pride to the school.

For the song competition, Nisha Arnephy of S4 set 1 under the home class of Ms. Anna Rose Victor, won first prize!

The Francophonie event, an annual celebration that highlights the beauty and richness of French-speaking cultures, is much more than a competition—it is a platform for collaboration, creativity, and cultural exchange.

This year's event was no exception, with different schools from all corners of Seychelles coming together to showcase their talents in areas such as French National Dictation Competition and Francophonie song.

Amidst fierce competition and a sea of talent, Pointe Larue Secondary students stood out, embodying the spirit of perseverance and excellence.

Excellence in Language and Expression

One of the standout achievements of Pointe Larue Secondary students was their performance in the francophonie song and dictation competition.

With an impeccable grasp of the French language and an ability to convey profound emotions, they mesmerized the audience and judges alike.

Equally impressive were our students winning moment as
Adam Mouhoussoune of S1 set 1 won 3rd prize while Hanna Mouhoussune of S4 set 1 "came out victorious" for the French National Dictation Competition held last Friday, 28th March at the National Theatre.

Their achievements are not just a reflection of their individual talents but also of the collective effort and support from their teachers, peers, and families.

Special mention to Ms. Josette and to Ms. Joanne who guided and mentored the students throughout the process. Their unwavering dedication, encouragement, and expertise played a pivotal role in shaping the students’ performances and instilling in them the confidence to excel.
